OPERA M in Action, Benin!

From Benin in communion with Ambassadors training held in Rome

Peace and good from Our Lord Jesus Christ, Good Shepherd and Face of the Father’s Mercy in the Holy Spirit for the reEvolution of works of mercy!

In greeting all of you, dear men and women, we express our gratitude to God who prompted and allowed our meeting to take place in a fraternal and intercultural synodality over these three days, July 7-10, 2024. These exchanges nurtured our understanding and reinvigorated our commitment to be ambassadors of the reEvolution of works of mercy.

Ambassadors and witnesses

Indeed, Jesus made the service of works of mercy true, visible and palpable in humility and total self-giving. Then, the Apostles whom He Himself chose and sent, as well as their successors, were and continue to be missionaries who confirm that “God’s Mercy is always in action!” And we witness this as ambassadors in Benin.

In these days we found out more about OPERA M to develop the reEvolution of works of mercy in a process of awareness that “God’s Mercy is always in action”! In fact, through teachers, videoconferences and audioconferences, we were instructed on OPERA M to perpetuate the works of mercy: corporal and spiritual.

It is God who “heals” and who “saves.” The parable of the prodigal son and, why not, the merciful Father, recalls in us the figure of a Father who forgives because he is Love and Mercy, who constantly seeks to “heal” and “save.” Likewise, in the school of Mary our Mother, we are called to listen, to decide authentically and to act accordingly without calculating or measuring difficulties in advance, but imploring courage and patience from God.

Training to plan

After this discovery, our dedication and commitment to the reEvolution of works of mercy led us to identify the needs and suggest the following areas of intervention: school-Church (Catechists and Catechumens); juveniles in prison; vulnerable children, adolescents and women; the elderly… .

Finally, this meeting allowed us to take a closer look at the concrete actions to be taken in our apostolates in the short term, from July to September 2024.

We are very grateful to God and sincerely thank the promoter and all those who are involved and collaborating. May God never cease to fill and re-energize us.

God’s mercy is in action. Always!
