“Wide-eyed” course returns to prepare for a missionary experience

The diocesan course “Ad occhi aperti,” organized by the Diocesan Missionary Center of Lucca and the Amani Nyayo Association, is back

This is an opportunity aimed at learning about the world of international cooperation and to deepen evangelical service to the poor. In fact, it is designed to prepare people, opening their minds and hearts, for an experience in Africa, Latin America or Southeast Asia, agreeing with the participants on ways and times.

The course has a residential form and will take place in Lucca from 3 p.m. on Saturday to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, for a cost of 70 euros (food and lodging included).

The first weekend will be Feb. 22 and 23 (“Getting to know ourselves and the style of missionary ‘being’); then, it will continue on March 29 and 30 with ‘A look at the world … Africa.’ on April 12, an experiential day in Barbiana: ‘Don Milani, the inconvenient priest’; and on May 24-25, ”A look at the world … rights and reverses, the suitcase of dreams.”
