Tuesday 7/05
Jn 15:7
Jesus said : but I tell you the truth : it is good for you that I go away ,because ,if I do not go away , the Paraclete will not come to you ; but if I go away , I will send him to you .
The Holy Spirit Paraclete continues the work of Jesus no longer on earth , in His visible person , but in the hearts of believers and through them in societies, cultures , so that humanity may know the salvation that God gives us in Jesus.
Wednesday 8/05
Jn 16:13
Jesus said, When He comes, the Spirit of truth will guide you into all truth, for He will not speak from Himself, but will tell all that He has heard and will announce to you the things to come.
The Holy Spirit is the spirit that teaches the truth , what is useful to us and guides us in righteousness and the ways of God to oppose the lying and perfidious spirit that creeps in to lead us into unbelief and perdition. We ask for the gift of discernment.
Thursday 9/05
Jn 16:20
Jesus said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, ye shall weep and wail ,but the world shall rejoice . You will be in sadness, but your sadness will be changed to joy.
In life we encounter many trials ,difficulties, sufferings and even misunderstandings caused by our faithfulness to God but always the Lord comes to our aid and does not allow us to sink into despair. When we touch the bottom the joy of the Holy Spirit bursts forth and we are lifted up.
Friday 10/05
Jn 16:22
Jesus said, So you also now are in sorrow ; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will be able to take away your joy. On that day you will no longer ask me for anything.
We have the certainty that one day we will see the Lord face to face, that day will be the most beautiful of all because we will be immersed in true love and absolute joy. We will understand everything and all pain and evil will be dissolved without a trace.
Saturday, 11/05
Jn 16:23-24
Jesus said, Truly, truly I say to you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name, he will give it to you .Hitherto you have asked nothing in my name. Ask and you shall obtain, that your joy may be full.
The Holy Spirit brings Jesus into us, and when we pray it is Jesus who prays in us, and the Father always listens to the Son and gives us everything that is truly useful for our salvation and always communicates His joy to us.
Sunday, 12/05
Mark 16:19-20
The Lord Jesus after speaking with them ,was lifted up into heaven and sat at the right hand of God. Then they departed and preached everywhere, while the Lord acted together with them and confirmed the Word with accompanying signs.
Actually the Ascension is the beginning of a new presence of Jesus in the world, no longer visible but mystical, He works through believers even more powerfully, but through them. In His dimension of glory the Lord liberates, sanctifies ,elevates the whole created cosmos, the whole universe becomes His temple.
