There was a great windstorm and the waves were pouring over the boat ,so that it was now full. He lay in the stern , on the cushion and slept. We often feel that the Lord is far away from us, that He is not interested in our difficult situations, not so, He waits to intervene to make us realize our little faith and limitedness. However, we continue to ask for His help.

Luke 1:66b and 80

“What can this child be?” And indeed the hand of the Lord was on him. The child grew and was strengthened in spirit. He lived in deserted regions until the day of his manifestation to Israel. It is the Lord who forms the saints from their childhood , in every age he always raises up new ones, because the world needs them so much, it is they who on earth and in heaven are the providential hand of God who helps us. Give us many saints Lord!

Matthew7:13

Enter by the narrow gate, for it is the gate and spacious is the way that leads to perdition ,and many are those who enter it. The narrow gate is love united with faith, it always asks us to lower ourselves in humility , to give time and energy for the common good, it asks us to constantly renounce our own selfishness and comfort for the advancement of the Kingdom of God.

Matthew 7:15

Jesus said to his disciples, “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inside are ravening wolves! By their fruits you will know them.” Today there are many seers ,preachers, who speak and prophesy through social media, especially prophets of doom, let us not listen to them, they teach half-truths , especially those who put Church in a bad light are from the evil one.

Matthew 7:28-29

When Jesus had finished these discourses, the crowds were amazed at his teaching: for he taught them as one in authority ,and not as their scribes. One cannot read the Bible let alone the Gospel as one reads other books ,in them is contained the Word of God therefore they have an authority that demands listening ,study and meditation with the utmost attention and reverence.

Matthew 8:2-3

And behold, a leper approached, prostrated himself before Him and said, “Lord if you will you can cleanse me.
He stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, “I want Him be cleansed!” And immediately his leprosy healed. Let us always approach Jesus by receiving the Eucharist and at that moment present to Him in faith all our physical and spiritual leprosies and He will touch them, illuminate them and from painful and humiliating wounds they will become glorious sores.

Matthew 16:18-19

And I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it . To you I will give the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Popes are the continuation in time of Peter’s ministry, poor men, limited and sinful like everyone else, they are invested with a mission greater than themselves ,but a special grace from the Lord gives them power and gifts that exceed their humanity. Obedience and communion with the Pope is the guarantee that we are in God’s will.
