Mark 14:22 and 24

Jesus while they were eating took bread and recited the blessing , broke it and gave it to them, saying, “Take this is my body.” Then he took a cup and said to them, “This is my Blood of the covenant that is shed for many.” The Blood shed and the body given on the Cross comes to us through the Eucharistic celebration in which the consecrated bread and wine become the body and blood of Jesus indispensable food for our salvation and supply of love to be shared with all humanity.

Mark 12:10-11

Have you not read this Scripture : “the stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was done by the Lord and is a marvel in our eyes?” The discarded stone is Jesus who was killed, but through the resurrection He has become the foundation of the existence of millions and millions of people throughout the ages. Those who base their existence on Him experience the divine life that is poured out in those who accept Jesus as the Lord of life.

Mark, 12-17

Jesus said to them,“ What is Caesar’s render it to Caesar, and what is God’s, to God.” And they stood in awe of Him. A Christian cannot sanctify a party, a politician, an ideology, he will have to have a relationship of loyalty and cooperation with those who hold temporal power, and only to God will he have to give total obedience and worship.

Mark 12 24-25

Jesus answered them,” Is not this why you are in error ,because you do not know the scriptures nor the power of God? For when they rise from the dead, they will take neither wife nor husband, but will be like angels in heaven. The body dies and fades away but our more real identity which is the soul , will live like the Angels, in a new dimension of life where we will experience perfect communion with God and those who populate the Kingdom of Heaven.

Mark 12 30-31

Jesus answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength.” “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” There is no other commandment greater than these.” The Christian life is about loving, but in order to truly love one must cultivate a strong relationship with Jesus daily through prayer ,the sacraments. Jesus said , “without Me you can do nothing ” and to love Him is indispensable.

Jn 19:33-34

However, coming to Jesus ,seeing that he was already dead, they did not break his legs ,but one of the soldiers with a spear struck his side, and immediately blood and water came out.
Jesus gave everything; the broken Heart of Christ is the sign of oblative, absolute love is God’s declaration of love for each of us. Even if no one loves you know that Someone will always love you and carefully watch over your existence.

Saturday, 8/06

Mark 12:41, 44

Jesus sat in front of the treasury and watched as the crowd threw coins into it. Many rich people were throwing a lot. But when a poor widow came, she threw in two coins, which make a penny. For everyone threw part of their superfluous . She, on the other hand, in her misery, threw in everything she had ,everything she had to live on. The secret of generosity is to believe firmly in God’s Providence, the more we give aid to our neighbor in need the more the Lord will provide for our needs. The Lord always rewards those who give joyfully.
