St. Hildegard’s Book of Medicine – Healing in Body and Spirit
Marcello Stanzione and Bianca Bianchini
Hildegard of Bingen, proclaimed a Doctor of the Church by Pope Benedict XVI, was a cultured mystic figure who was open to world problems. An expert herbalist, Hildegard gained profound knowledge in the medical field, which the saint herself claimed came to her from God as a special gift capable of making her “understand the mysteries that are hidden in the essence of every creature.”
