Dieudonné Madrapile Tanzi was born on August 18, 1958, in Niangara. He received presbyteral ordination on August 25, 1985 for the Diocese of Isiro-Niangara.
He held the following positions and pursued further studies: Trainer in Rungu Minor Seminary (1985-1986); Professor and spiritual animator in Saint Augustin Interdiocesan Major Seminary of Philosophy, Kisangani (1986-1996); Vicar General of the Diocese of Isiro-Niangara (1996-2001); Diocesan Administrator of Isiro-Niangara (2001-2003); Rector of the Blessed Anuarite National Marian Shrine (2003-2006); Doctorate in Missiology at the Pontifical Urbanian University, Rome (2006-2013); Chaplain of the Sisters Daughters of St. Mary of Providence, Work of Don Guanella, Rome; Professor of Pastoral Theology at the Pontifical Urbanian University (2012-2016). He has been Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Isiro-Niangara since July 12, 2024. He was elected Bishop of Isangi on April 2, 2016 and consecrated on July 10, 2016.
