Puglisi School’s 25 years of commitment in Brancaccio

Many concrete actions declined in the training of young people, interdisciplinary educational projects, listening to families and social antimafia.

These are some of the activities that, over the past 25 years, the “Padre Pino Puglisi” secondary school in Brancaccio, led by head teacher Angela Randazzo, has carried out.

Celebrating these years, giving their testimony, were, on January 13, several teachers and institutional representatives. On the occasion, they were reminded, as well, of the significant contribution made by then alderman Alessandra Siracusa, who died prematurely.

The middle school, strongly desired by Father Pino Puglisi, who was killed by the Mafia in 1993, was inaugurated on January 13, 2000, by then President of the Republic Carlo Azeglio Ciampi.

A message of support for the work, carried out over the years, was sent by Archbishop Corrado Lorefice, who was unable to attend the ceremony…
