Literary café opens in Danisinni

The process of urban regeneration of the neighborhood continues with a new service under the banner of artisanal products

Drink good wine or craft beer, read a book, share ideas and, even, study. That’s what the Literary Café, inaugurated last night, offers in Danisinni.

The intention of the Danisinni 1489 cultural association is to make it a community landmark for sharing events and social inclusion activities. The association is composed of president Stefania Magnolato, Giuseppe Cento, Giusi Mortillaro and Daniele Lo Jacono.

“I fell deeply in love with this neighborhood that I met in 2014,” said Giuseppe Cento, vice president of the Danisinni 1489 association. In these years, with the after-school program for young people and in other activities, we have worked hard to improve, little by little, Danisinni.

Today, the Literary Café wants to concretely contribute to the economic and cultural development of the neighborhood.

Being located at a connection point of the Arab-Norman route-between Palazzo dei Normanni and Castello della Zisa-we offer a place where Palermitans and tourists, can be welcomed to relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape. Having the universities nearby will also allow young people to come and study in peace.”
