“Letters under the tree” | 7
We receive a “letter under the tree” from a person who prefers to remain anonymous and publish it, wishing you a merry Christmas
Dear World,
I don’t even know why I call you “dear,” I who have always known the harshness of life.
I have always worked, but I find myself struggling every day: to pay the rent, to support the family, to make ends meet.
I have tried hard, but I don’t even know if I have been a good father. So for this Christmas, I don’t ask for gifts. When I saw this thing that you could put letters under the tree asking for mercy, I thought, now, I’ll send one.
I ask for mercy for me and for all the times I failed where I wanted to be.
