“Letters under the tree” | 4

The fourth of the “Letters under the tree… to ask for mercy” is by Sicilian Antonella Brucato, who teaches in Turin, Italy

(by Antonella Brucato)

Dear World,
I would like to ask you for Mercy for all the relatives of the sick who are in hospitals and in Reanimations in particular. Where, very often, they are treated without any delicacy, adding pain to more pain.

And again Mercy for those same relatives who see in their loved ones at the mercy of doctors, primary caregivers, luminaries who before the true good of the patient are rather focused on their own careers and delusions of omnipotence, far from the Hippocratic Oath.

Dear World, make us all capable of Mercy toward ourselves and our brothers and sisters…. Thank you!
