“Letters Under the Tree” | 19
The “letter under the tree” of Fr. Angelo Esposito, fidei donum from Naples in Tacanà, San Marcos, Guatemala
Dear World,
“even a small work is a great act of love.”
The poor remain poor even at Christmas. Wars do not stop, and violence continues to strike. Personal wealth, in the end, leaves nothing lasting.
Shared wealth, wealth given to the poor, generates true joy, like a melody that warms the soul. It makes us authentic, capable of building peace.
My wish is that you may be friends of the poor, the lonely elderly, battered women and children.
May the Child Jesus give you the inner peace you seek, the courage to embrace his message of peace and brotherhood
Be the Providence for someone. Do not turn your back on the Child in the manger. Go out to those who reach out to you, and let your works of love speak for you.
May the Child Jesus, with his small outstretched hands, bless you and your acts of charity.
