“Letters Under the Tree” | 17

Today’s “letter under the tree” was written by a 15 year old boy, Roberto Lavarini, from Greccio (Rieti)

Dear world,

I ask you to have mercy on people I think of often.

They are all those who belong to communities whose lives are difficult and are often subject to problems of poverty, discrimination and violence.

They are all those people who, in order to make a living, must follow the law of the road, who have fewer opportunities than others, who are isolated from the rest of the world.

World, I ask for mercy so that everyone has an equal chance to make it, so that everyone can live in safe places and can feel equal even in front of those who consider themselves “superior.”
