Free… at last!

Let us rejoice

Sisters Vincentia Maria Nwankwo and Grace Mariette Okoli, kidnapped on the evening of Tuesday 7 January 2025 in Anambra State, south-east Nigeria, have been released. This was announced on 13 January by the Congregation of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary of Onitsha.

In an article dated 10 January 2025, Spazio Spadoni reported the news of the kidnapping of these two sisters and joined in the choral prayer for their unconditional release in good health.

Today we give thanks for the return of sisters Vincentia Maria and Grace Mariette. Let us thank God for his love and his providence.

However, let us continue to pray that Nigeria, like so many countries in the world, may find ways and lasting solutions for the well-being of its people.
