Caresto Community – The FLESH of GOD
Christian spirituality within concrete life
Is God still incarnate today or is he only otherworldly, transcendent, mystical? What does the Incarnation mean concretely? Is it just a nice theological word?
An allusion to the moment of Jesus’ birth two thousand years ago but then exhausted, when Jesus ascended (“volatilized…”) into heaven?
This may sound like an inquiry reserved for theological doctrines, but instead it is something that has great impact with the real world, with the everyday. Indeed, people often interpret the Christian life with devotions or taking refuge in the God who is in heaven, forgetting that the spiritual life necessarily involves us in this world and helps to bring it to goodness. Many believers strive to love God but end up neglecting concrete love of neighbor or considering it a secondary to even superfluous option. How and what to do? The Caresto Community guides us through its simple meditations to understand and practice the incarnation of God in our everyday Christian lives.
