From July 7 to 10, spazio+spadoni organizes a formation on the reEvolution of works of mercy

That on the works of mercy and in particular on the spread of their knowledge is a theme dear to spazio+spadoni, which in recent years has been investing a great deal in the achievement of this goal.

In this regard, from July 7 to 10, a training will be held in Rome by the Sisters Ministers of the Infirm.

Who is the formation aimed at?

Some sisters from Benin, Burundi, Rwanda, who are studying in Italy and who will spend the summer months in some of the Misericordie or Parishes identified by spazio+spadoni to develop together the charism of the reEvolution of works of mercy, will participate in the training.

But there will also be sisters from India, East Timor and the Philippines whose congregations already collaborate with spazio+spadoni; for them it will represent a deepening of the path that will lead them to be “Ambassadors” of the works of mercy.

Not only that, the days will also be enriched by the presence of some volunteers and representatives of the Associations or Parishes that will take care of the hospitality of the religious women during the months of July and August.

What will be the schedule of the formation?

It will start on Saturday, July 6, with the arrival of the participants, but the actual beginning of the work will be marked by the Holy Mass on Sunday morning. At that point, after a short presentation of space+spadons and the HIC SUM project, the training will focus on the central theme, that of OPERA M.

The deep meaning of the concept of reEvolution of Works of Mercy, its contents, method, organization and tools will be explained. All of this will be interspersed with direct testimonies from those who, this experience is already living it in their own territories and moments of discussion and debate on the preparation for operation in the territories.

Interculturality

These formative but also convivial moments that periodically organizes space+spadons are also a richness from the point of view of intercultural exchange. So many religious and, in this case also lay people, who come from different countries and on the days they will share and bring their experiences, traditions, customs and traditions.

The future of formation

The goal of the training moment is to create “Ambassadors” of the works of mercy, that is, people who, with the tools provided by space+spadons, will be able to spread the knowledge of the works of mercy, primarily with the sisters of their own congregation but also in the territories in which they will be working.
